Vans presents the MTE™ Crosspath and MTE™ Crosspath Mid models: all-terrain footwear with the Off The Wall style

The latest silhouettes from the Californian brand combine style and versatility, and are the most progressive all-terrain models from Vans to date.

Costa Mesa, California (October 1, 2024) – When a new adventure is on the horizon, the last thing you want to worry about is whether your footwear is up to the challenge. Whether you're in the city or heading to the mountains in search of the season's last snowfall, a model that's always ready to tackle any terrain without sacrificing style is truly essential.

Fortunately, Vans has created the perfect silhouette to meet all these needs: the MTE Crosspath and its high-top companion, the MTE Crosspath Mid. Positioned at the intersection of style and functionality, the MTE Crosspath incorporates visual elements from Vans' legendary skate models, combined with a technically advanced construction specifically designed to tackle rough terrain, harsh weather conditions, and any other challenge you may encounter.

From the collar to the sole, the MTE Crosspath incorporates numerous high-performance features. The upper, made from 100% recycled PET and reinforced with panels to withstand wear, utilizes the seam-free RAPIDWELD™ construction treated with a PFC-free water-repellent DWR coating, ensuring a perfect fit that is both lightweight and breathable. The updated toe shapes and contoured insoles provide comfort throughout the day. At the same time, a new tread pattern on the sole allows for maximum surface contact, which in turn offers firmer grip than previous models.

Footwear designed to face nature should also respect the environment, which is why the midsole of the MTE Crosspath is made with at least 50% bi-component EVA foam, partially derived from plants, and is USDA certified as Biobased. Additionally, 31% of the rubber used to manufacture the sole is natural rubber grown through regenerative farming, sourced from farms that use agricultural practices aimed at promoting biodiversity, improving water cycles, and enhancing soil health.

The release of the MTE Crosspath and MTE Crosspath Mid coincides with the second chapter of the Crosspath story, starring Vans Snowboarding team members Ryo Aizawa, Jake Kuyzk, Jill Perkins, and Ivika Jürgenson, as they explore St. John’s in Newfoundland for a late-winter street session.
